Job purpose

The Manager, Data Analytics, position is responsible for managing staff that perform daily data maintenance and analytics activities. The role is responsible for the protection and integrity of all data in Emtiro Health information systems consistent with industry best practices. This individual is also responsible for the development of analytics to support data-driven decision-making. This position will serve as a lead technical expert in the implementation and design of all Emtiro Health analytics applications and associated business processes.

Duties and responsibilities

  • In a leadership capacity, supervise and provide guidance to individuals on the Emtiro Health Business Intelligence and Analytics team. Complete routine rounding with staff to understand any barriers and challenges they may face. Ensure high employee satisfaction by providing routine communication and support to staff.

  • Lead the evaluation, testing, and implementation of all Emtiro Health information systems in coordination with Emtiro Health's Business Intelligence, Clinical Services, and Information Technology departments. Guide the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including training manuals, methods, policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate Business Intelligence project management activities to plan, execute, document, and maintain various information system related projects. Act as a technology liaison to Emtiro Health clients and vendors and maintain positive, constructive relationships.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing training tools and methods for all current and new Population Health Analytics system users. Document training and related system procedures. Work with Emtiro Health internal departments to ensure a high level of satisfaction with all analytics applications.

  • Provide oversight of data management activities for the Emtiro Population Health Analytics system. Ensure the use of industry best practices to maintain accurate data feeds from source systems into Emtiro Health's Population Health Analytics system. Demonstrate a complete understanding of the related interdependencies between systems and internal processes and be able to communicate best practices.

  • Work as a member of the Business Intelligence and Analytics department in meeting contract performance targets and responsibilities. Ensure that services rendered comply with the highest standards of Emtiro Health's Business Intelligence and Analytics department and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Provide leadership of analytics functions by training, directing, and educating relevant Emtiro Health team members in the use of data analytics tools. Provide analytics support for Clinical Services, Finance, Provider Support, Contracting, and Business Development teams. Develop analytics team that can perform complex analysis such as cost benefit analysis, regression analysis, forecasting analysis, k-means clustering analysis, ANOVA, correlation analysis, standardization analysis, revenue/expense analysis, and return on investment.

  • Remain current on emerging standards in industry by reading of trade journals, interviews with peers, participating in educational opportunities, serving on industry committees, etc.

  • Lead the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and scorecards for the organization. Research and keep current on industry benchmarks and develop innovative reports to support decision making across the organization. Various deliverables should be maintained to support all levels of the organization.

  • Ensure appropriate provisioning of data supporting population health to clients and contracted third parties. Data shall be submitted from all entities on pre-established timelines. Gather feedback from third parties on opportunities to improve data and data submissions process, and implement changes, as required.


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information technology, or related field and four (4) years of experience in such areas. Master’s degree preferred. Seven (7) years of directly related experience healthcare analytics, information technology, or project management will be considered in lieu of degree. Previous leadership experience required. Project management experience required. 

  • Leadership skills and excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to create enthusiasm and inspire positive team spirit.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with change priorities

  • Prior experience in PeopleSoft desired

  • Demonstrated competency in SQL, AWS Cloud Services, Microsoft Office, Tableau, Sisense, QlikView, PowerBI, or other Business Intelligence tool desired

  • Experience in articulating problems and resolutions clearly and in bridging technology gap among technical support staff, end users, and management
