Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

1) Who we are & what this policy covers

Emtiro Health (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates https://emtirohealth.org/ (the “Site”).

We’re a USA-focused editorial and affiliate website. We publish guides and comparisons that may cover iGaming and sports betting topics—such as getting started with sports betting in North Carolina, understanding odds and bet slips, choosing licensed sportsbooks, payment methods (cards, bank transfers, e-wallets, and crypto), promotions, and responsible gambling resources.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you visit our Site. It does not cover third-party websites (like sportsbooks, casinos, payment providers, or apps) you may visit through our links. Those third parties control their own privacy practices.

2) What we collect

We keep data collection lightweight. The Site does not offer user accounts and does not sell products or take bets.

A) Information you provide

Based on your settings:

  • Newsletter: No
  • Contact form: No
  • Comments/UGC: No

So, we generally do not collect your name, email address, or messages through forms on the Site.

If you contact us by email or via any contact method displayed on the Site, we will receive what you choose to share (for example, your email address and message).

B) Browsing and device data (collected automatically)

When you visit the Site, we (and our service providers) may automatically collect:

  • IP address (often used to estimate approximate location, like city/state)
  • Pages viewed, time spent, scroll depth, clicks, and outbound link clicks
  • Referring page/source (e.g., search engine or another website)
  • Device type, browser type, operating system, language settings
  • Cookie IDs or similar identifiers

C) Cookies/trackers for analytics, ads, and affiliate attribution

We use cookies and similar technologies (pixels/tags/local storage) to:

  • Measure traffic and understand what content is helpful (for example, pages about NC sportsbook licensing, payment methods, or bonuses)
  • Improve site performance and content quality
  • Support advertising and ad measurement
  • Track affiliate referrals and attribute commissions (for example, via UTM parameters, click IDs, and link-out events)

D) Sensitive information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through the Site (such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, health data, or biometrics).

If you click through to a sportsbook or related service, that provider may collect additional data (including account registration and identity verification) under its own policy.

3) How we use information

We use information to:

  • Operate and maintain the Site
  • Secure the Site and prevent abuse/fraud (including invalid traffic)
  • Measure performance (what pages people read, which links they use) and improve content
  • Personalize, cap, and measure ads (where supported)
  • Attribute affiliate referrals when you click partner links and later complete a qualifying action

4) Cookies & tracking

What cookies/pixels do

Cookies and similar tools help us:

  • Understand how visitors use the Site
  • Measure the effectiveness of content and ads
  • Attribute referrals and prevent affiliate/advertising fraud

How to control cookies

You can control cookies through:

  • Your browser settings (block/delete cookies)
  • Private/incognito browsing modes
  • Device privacy settings and tracker-blocking tools/extensions

If you block cookies, some measurements (analytics/ads/affiliate attribution) may be less accurate.

Global Privacy Control (GPC)

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we aim to honor it where feasible as an opt-out of certain “sale/share” and targeted advertising activities (as defined under some state laws).

5) Advertising, analytics & affiliates

Advertising

The Site uses display/programmatic advertising. Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, limit frequency, and help detect fraud.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand how people use the Site—like which guides (e.g., North Carolina betting basics, payment options, or responsible gambling tools) are most useful—and to improve the experience.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links are affiliate links. This means:

  • We may earn a commission if you click a link and later complete a qualifying action with a partner.
  • Links may include tracking identifiers to attribute the referral.

Affiliate compensation helps support our content, but we aim to keep editorial guidance independent and practical.

6) Sharing of information

We may share information with:

  1. Service providers (hosting, analytics, security/anti-abuse)
  2. Advertising partners (ad delivery, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention)
  3. Affiliate partners (referral attribution, reporting, fraud detection)
  4. Legal/compliance recipients (to comply with law or protect rights, safety, and our services)

We do not sell personal information for money. However, some disclosures for cross-context behavioral advertising or measurement may be considered “sharing” under the California CPRA.

7) Your privacy rights (US states)

Depending on your state, you may have privacy rights.

California (CPRA)

California residents may have rights to:

  • Know/access the personal information collected about them
  • Delete personal information (with certain exceptions)
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information
  • Non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights

We do not intentionally collect or use sensitive personal information in a way that would require a “limit use of sensitive PI” workflow for this Site.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah

Residents may have rights to:

  • Access
  • Delete
  • Correct (where applicable)
  • Opt out of targeted advertising
  • Appeal a denied request (where applicable)

How to exercise your rights

To submit a request, email: [email protected].

Please include:

  • The state you live in
  • What you want to do (access, delete, correct, opt-out)
  • The device/browser you used and approximate visit dates (helps locate cookie-based data)

We may ask for reasonable steps to verify your request (for example, confirming you control the browser/device associated with a cookie ID). We won’t require you to create an account to make a request.

Appeals (where applicable)

If we deny your request, you can appeal by emailing us with “Appeal” in the subject line. We’ll review and respond.

8) Data retention & security

Retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Typical ranges:

  • Analytics data: up to 24 months
  • Server/security logs: up to 12 months
  • Affiliate measurement data: varies by partner reporting needs and fraud prevention

Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as HTTPS, access controls, and regular updates. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.

9) Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for adults (21+) due to gambling-related content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 21. If you are under 21, do not use the Site or submit information to us.

10) Third-party links & disclaimers

Our Site links to third-party websites (such as sportsbooks, casinos, payment providers, and apps). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their privacy policies and terms before providing personal information, creating accounts, or making deposits.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.

12) Contact

Questions or privacy requests: [email protected]

13) Not legal advice

This Privacy Policy is for general information only and is not legal advice.
